ARTIST STATEMENT
Zac St. Clair's current practice seeks to explore the many interconnections between being bored and inducing
boredom onto objects. Absurd anomalies become present in the constant working
and rehashing of limited materials and ideas via the metaphysical processes of
solitary idle boredom. Mundane everyday materials are broken down and
reconstituted into new forms. These reconstituted objects are used in
combination with assisted ready-mades to create a conglomerate of things that
relate and oppose at the same time, where everything has an absurd logical
reasoning behind it that makes sense and yet doesn’t at the same time.
